Dad is home, the fire is lit, and the snow is FALLING!
Dad was discharged this morning. We took it slow and easy on the snowy drive home, and made it up the bumpy drive without a problem!! Dad seems quite comfortable in his trusty recliner with his dogs at his feet.
The picnic table on the deck is measuring 7" of snow, and it keeps on falling! We are stocked with food, drink and meds...ready to dig in and stay put until this storm lets up. Dad has a great view of the snow covered yard and hills beyond and seems quite content to sip on his hot herbal tea. Home sure is sweet!
Friends and family - please keep Dad accountable to his doctors orders, TAKE IT EASY!! We have already scolded him once as he stirred the fire and insisted on adding a log to the fire. What are we here for anyway?? Dad needs a lesson or two in the "let us help you" department. :)
