Christmas in Oakridge

Holden enjoyed the view from Daddy's tall shoulders,
as we all walked along Salmon Creek.

 Dahbi enjoyed the stroll...RUN...as well!
 "Hurry up slow pokes!"
(Just kidding.)
Mommy's shoulders needed a turn too.
As Holdie got more and more sleepy,
the load on Mommy's back got more and more heavy.
 Henley found a fabulous stick.
 What a treat,
we spied a beaver enjoying the winter day along the creek.
 Hazel loves to walk Dahbi.
 Post-walk snuggle, Dahbi and Tuca.

Later, it was time for Grandma's 2013 Treasure HUNT!

Mid-hunt LOOT!
This little elf enjoyed herself,
even with that gaping hole in her mouth!
Then it was time to get measured!
 Holden  took his measurement seriously.
Henley needed a little daddy adjustment.
So funny, they are all spaced perfectly even!
7 inches between Holden and Henley.
7 inches between Henley and Hazel.
Wonder how they will measure up next year?
 A hiking expedition begun.

Who is walking who here?

HOME for Chrismtas

 All the Garners were sleeping...
 ...the stockings were waiting...
Holden was the first one to rise...
Then woke a raccoon headed Henley...
Followed by a sugar plum princess Hazel.

We all enjoyed a Christmas in our home.
HO HO HO!

Our Zoo Lights Experience....

...may be a once-in-a-lifetime!

SO MANY PEOPLE,
had the same idea as us.

Like the entire city of Portland,
most of Hillsboro,
and likely the majority of Forest Grove.

Oh my.

The lights were really amazing, though.
Holden, certainly was the one in our group to enjoy most.

The Tunnel of Lights,
magical for Holden.
"My eyes are glowing!"
