San Francisco

A few weeks ago,
Beau and I got away for a long weekend.

Destination...
SAN FRAN!
View from our window seat in our room.
I could have people watched ALL day.
 We had wonderful weather.
Our tour guides and hosts Mick and Jeff.
We were treated to a Fleet Week extravaganza.
 Amazing stunts over the Bay.
I contemplated a swim to Alcatraz.
Beau's first time seeing the Blue Angels.
Such a show!
5 mph for Lombard Street.

I wished my kiddos could see the sights...
but so ENJOYED seeing them for myself.
Saturday, we set SAIL by AT&T Park.
 Captain Jeff and his crew,
Kelsey, Jill and Tim.
 Masterful Mick.
Fleet Week's ships were such a treat to see.

 Windswept beauties Cathy & Jill.

Beau Captained a bit to keep the sea sickness at bay.

 Another show today!
The view and SOUND from the Bay was surreal.

 LOUD!
Wonderful sail with WONDERFUL family.

THANK YOU
Jeff, Cathy & Mick for sharing your city with us!
Much LOVE to you and your City by the Bay.

Henley Model 5.0

"Goodest Smartypants"
aka Henley Roland Garner

Bike-riding, fast-running boy full-of-JOY!
Henley at 5 is a THANKFUL boy.
Any gift he LOVES.
He smiles SO big.
Often says "THANKS" followed by a hug.
For mommy a kiss.
I love his grateful, thankful heart.
Nana's sign on his birthday cake says it well.
Henley loves being CAPTAIN.
The guy in charge.
He is at his best when he has a mission.
Lately, helping mommy set the table.
A first chore.
$1 a week.
His chest swells with pride on allowance day.
Mommy's too.
Henley isn't shy.
He is quick to raise his hand with the answer.
Henley tends to have answers often.
His wheels turn constantly,
take time to listen,
you never know what he will say next.
Captain Henley BLOOMS when given 1:1 time.
Take away sibling distraction
and competition,
and this guy will knock your socks off!
Now, where did my socks go?
Henley,
you are an amazing son.
You are so unique and special,
BURSTING with passion,
and a true zest for life.

I hope age FIVE
brings you even closer to your brother
and your sister,
and I have more time to see you grow.
Keep running with your eyes and arms wide open!
Life is GOOD with you in our home.

I love you,
Mommy.
