A week ago, we arrived home from the CABIN...
our family tradition we LOVE.
We dream of this log cabin in the woods,
the whole year long.
Then, comes the week we get to GO!
Ahhh...life in the dirt with those we love.
Life is GOOD at the Cabin...
Little Falls was so little,
this "partner" nearly missed it!
Took Holden only a moment to realize the dirt was FUN!
Scoping out this guy they call Tim. :)
Morning campfire.
Daddy smooch through the camper mesh window.
RELAX...
I even had time to read a book?!!
Lovin' on cousin Chris.
High 5's for Uncle Patrick.
(MISSED Bonnie and Jack this year!)
Cousin Kelsey is a fave!
Cowboy Henley was a great entertainer for the week.
One of many DELICIOUS dinners enjoyed...
in the BEAUTIFUL Sierra Nevada Mtns.
Bath time.
(Is it just me, or is Holden catching up to Henley?)
Lake Alpine
COUSINS!!!
Hazel, Henley and Mick.
A treasure found.
Sittin' on the Rock of the Lake...
Brr...so REFRESHING!
Love this 8 year old cousin!
Holden surprised his momma...
he LOVED the brisk clear waters of Lake Alpine.
YAY!
Thanks Nana for a family picture!
Recognize this dirty girl?
My daddy and ME!
Holden,
then sun wouldn't be so bright it you would LEAVE ON
your HAT!!!
Beau and I took a hike with my dad.
We headed down to the Stanislaus River.
A fire started in this very canyon -
just behind our cabin -
the day we left.
(Today it shows it is 70% contained.
Breathing a little easier.)
Beautiful river rocks.
Manzanita.
Carins lead the way back UP!
GIANT fungus of some sort.
(Three on this one log.)
You can do it Lily.
WEEEEEE!
Holden meets Uncle Bob,
Nana's brother.
Bear Valley Lake play.
Beau's home brew tasting.
Cheers!
Holden LOVES Aunt Jill.
Aunt Jill gave Hazel some of her own
MAKEUP!
Oh my goodness.
My cowboy loves his morning cocoa.
New water tank installation.
Out with the old.
Inside the OLD tank.
The crew watches as the new tank goes up.
The tank process took awhile.
Beau made a few walking sticks.
Holden took a nap.
Up it goes...finally!
Holden and Papa play...
Zip & Un-Zip.
We took a moment to relect on our Bella.
She LOVED the cabin.
She especially loved this spot on the creek.
She would work and work and work...
Until she gathered all the rocks,
off the creek bottom.
We watched her ashes drift away in the beautiful creek.
We returned from the creek,
to ENJOY some beer pancakes.
Aunt Jill makes them GOOOOOOD!
Happy Holden.
Two of my favorite guys.
Hazel gives us a lesson in relaxation.
We were happy to have Great Grammy join us.
Cold Henley toes.
HI!
