OR OR!

Beau's parents moved to their new home last weekend!  It is so nice to have them only a 25 minute drive up Highway 58 in Oakridge, Oregon (OROR).  We all traveled up to their new home yesterday, a beautiful drive - at times SNOWY - and arrived at the house excited!  What a perfect fit for them.  The house already feels so cozy, and Bruce and Roberta have done a great job settling in over a short period of time.  Hazel and Henley ran all around, exploring and staking out future hide-and-seek spots.  (There are MANY!)  Holden was content to squirm on the soft carpet and snooze in Grandma's chair.  Here are some photos from our day in Oakridge yesterday...

Happy new home owners by the back deck.

The kids were delighted to dig into the treasure chest they hadn't seen since the Spokane house.

My favorite indoor spot, off the kitchen a bright corner of windows.

Roberta gave Beau some of her special books she thought he should have.

 Grandpa seems at home!

 Hazel in her exploring attire!

The yard is on two lots, and I loved all the interesting bird houses tucked in all over.

After surveying the yard, we headed to the nearby levee and Salmon Creek.

The community garden was a short walk away.

I imagine it is quite pretty in the spring and summer.

 Walkin' on the levee.

The levee runs along the Salmon Creek...more like a river to me.  It was rushing!

 Downstream.

We climbed down to the rocky bank and the kids (big and little) threw in some rocks.

It was an easy trip down to the bank off the levee thanks to these large stone steps.

A quick pose from my little poser.

 Where's Grandpa?

BOO!

What a great fit for Bruce and Roberta.  It was so nice to see them settled.  The snow was an added treat.  We ended our outing with a delicious meal at the local brewery.  Yum!

Nana, Papa & Great Grammy!

Great Grammy is visiting Nana & Papa, so we couldn't resist a weekend trip up to see them all!  The kids were fantastic in the car for mommy, Holden not even making a peep BOTH ways.

The visit is best explained through some photos, of course.  :)

Soda certainly doesn't contain caffiene when it comes from Great Grammy?
Hazel carted her baby "Lisa" around in mommy's Ergo...
She was DELIGHTED!  Silly little girl.
Aunt Jill called and we all enjoyed talking to her, Kelsey and Chris on speaker phone.
Holden thought his Papa was rather funny.
He is getting so strong and sturdy!
We all headed out for fresh air to a local park.  Nana needed Hazel to catch her as she came down the slide.
Hazel chattering away like usual!
A photo attempt that Holden just wasn't having!
Papa to the rescue...
Content little man again.
My family.  LOVE.
Patty cake with Grammy.
Three lucky little people with three adoring grandparents.
We all headed to lunch and ICECREAM next.  Henley received a mini mani from Grammy.

The next day, Nana recieved some grooming from Henley.  He takes his work seriously, therefore the rose colored glasses.
Holden gets a morning snack from Nana.

A post meal bath in the kitchen sink.  If only I knew what this guy is thinking!
One last picture with Great Grammy.  Holden certainly enjoyed meeting his Grammy for the first time, and the rest of us enjoyed a weekend of spoiling and love.

SOLIDS!

Holden ENTHUSIASTICALLY enjoyed his first solid (rice cereal) this week!
Steak and eggs next week?  (JUST KIDDING)

a Valentine for Daddy

Thanks to Pinterest for our Valentine's Day project inspiration...

We cut out hearts (and hand prints)

Then painted our canvas board sky blue.

(Hazel showing off a new skill of tongue rolling.  Something she does when she concentrates these days!)

 a few hours later...all DONE!

I have to include this sequence of pictures...these two crack me up.

Our hand print LOVE tree for Daddy.  The heart "leaves" tell of some of the MANY things we love about Daddy.
