Welcome Richie!

Last Monday afternoon, a little seven year old boy named Richie moved into our home. We had been without a foster child since Matt and Donald moved out last September. Richie is a very energetic boy and already Hazel is enjoying having a new playmate. Of course, along with any new addition to the home there is a period of adjustment. Overall, his transition in has been smooth.

Hazel arrived at her school last Tuesday and informed her friends and teachers, "My daddy brought me a new boy named Richie." Here are a few photos of our new addition to the family.

Richie is a good reader and excellent at math. He proved to be eager to work yesterday and helped Beau to pick up some leaves. Though he is seven years old, he is small in stature and young in maturity. He has introduced Hazel to the land of Lego! Richie has never had siblings before, so he is bound to learn a lot. So far he seems to embrace the role of big brother, and Hazel enjoys having an older playmate again. Henley just watches Richie's every move and enjoys when Richie plays peek-a-boo with him. Life is never boring, that is for sure!
