Blackberry Jam Festival

This weekend is the big festival that my tiny little town has every year. It is the Blackberry Jam! This morning we had our friends, Julie and Macey, come over to join us for the annual BJ parade. Matt and Beau were gone...but we didn't let that stop us! We headed over to the parade route, joined also by our next-door neighbors.

We live in such a tiny town, but it didn't stop just about every resident from turning out for the parade and festivities. Here are some pictures from our morning out on the town! :)

The pony rides were right next to our parade viewing spot, and Donald enjoyed pettying the pony.

Lauren, our neighbor, was SO excited to ride her first pony!

Hazel and Lauren gearing up for the parade in the wagon.

Here come the trucks!

Lauren's pretty hairdo

Yay for our local park hosts and the Oregon Beaver!

Hazel loved seeing the BUS!

The older girls ventured out of the wagon and stroller and got into the candy gathering action. Hazel was content to view the parade from her wagon. One passing vehicle, spied her and threw a handful of candy "for the wagon." So nice of them.

Donald took a brief break for getting candy to pose for a quick picture.

I had to get a picture of these cute little car. Not sure what it is, an early Mini Cooper? Whatever it was, sure was cute!

Post parade, Hazel and Macey take a break with their babies.

We all ventured into the pool later as it was HOT today! Here is Donald enjoying his first swim in the pool. Yay for being available Donald!!

Sounds like a lot of fun. But I did not see any "blackberry-faces" :) I am proud that Donald made himself available for the pool!
