Friends to the rescue!

Beau had to be out of town the past three days and nights...leaving me pregnant, with a 22 month old and two less-than-compliant foster boys!!

I wasn't looking forward to Beau's trip (and neither was he). However, work calls...so off he went to perform his therapeutic duties.

Our friends, Julie and her daughter Macey, came to my rescue!! They nearly camped out the entire time, only leaving me on my own as the boys settled into bed each night. Whew! It was great having the support and adult companionship! Hazel adored having Macey over every day. Here are some pictures from our fun adventures over the past three days...

At a local park, Hazel surprised me with how independent she has quickly become in her play! She was able to climb up this play structure on her own and then go down the slide on her own as well! What a big girl!

Though she was Miss Independent, she did so with great caution. That is Beau in her!!

Macey enjoyed the slide.

This slide was too high for me to feel comfortable with Hazel trying it on her own - so I was forced to do some (awkward) sliding myself!

We headed over to another park - to play in a fountain. The girls weren't interested...the boys WERE!
