Hard to believe our little man Henley is already 18 months old. On the dot! His 1/2 birthday is today, his Nana's birthday (see her post below). We began our day with his well-check and the little guy continues to be on the little side. He is now 32" long (25
th %) & 22 1/2 lbs (11
th %). His doctor continues to recommend we give the little guy whole milk, at this rate he will likely be drinking straight from the cow until he is 21. No worries as he checked out perfectly and charmed every nurse he came in contact with! Yesterday and today I snapped a few pictures of our little guy, to show a glimpse into the life of our Henley...
When he is doing something he loves (here playing in his sandbox) you can bet on catching him with his serious face. He doesn't mess around. Well...I guess he does mess around, but in a serious way he makes those messes!
An earnest observer of the older two. His body was quick to follow his glance in the direction of Hazel and Richie. He likes to be in on the action!
Daredevil! Henley is a climber and a fearless slider. Daddy was at his side, but he certainly didn't need that reassurance. Daddy did though!
Couldn't resist slipping in one of his very colorful sister. I used to think the play structure was rather colorful, but even it doesn't compare to the color choices of Hazel.
An entertainer. I used to think Henley was going to be quiet and reserved. He was just plotting his big reveal! Well...now the little guy will perform just about any antic that he knows will get a smile or laugh from his adoring fans. Oh, and
definitely not camera shy! He puts on a "cheese" to rival the "cheese" of his sister.
Again...checking in on what the other two are doing.
A runner. Marathons in his future too? Only if mommy is hot on his heels in an attempt to drive him back home.
A mover and a shaker! Yes he will "cheese" for the camera, but only when there isn't something he would rather be doing. I hoped for a cute picture of the two kids. Instead, you get my reality!
A lover. Henley has taken to ALL his sister's babies. He carts babies around and sleeps every night with a lucky little baby. He kisses the babies and snuggles them. If I put him down without his baby, he reminds me. Little does he know he is still MY baby.
A smooch for baby.
Sister had to get in on the VERY brief attempt at a photo shoot today. The rain came...and we headed inside. What a grown up big sister she is. Henley and Hazel play more and more these days. Such fun to see the built in entertainment that comes with having a sibling. A real treat to watch these two grow and learn. Sure does go by more and more quickly...sigh.
