Watch out Sir Henley may take you down,
Our Hazel she dances like a clown.

Last weekend, we headed to the
Northern Lights Tree Farm to pick out our very special tree. It has become a tradition we adore. Muddy tractor ride to the trees, all lined up in precise rows ready to to chosen. We search and search, and finally find the right tree for our home. It was nice to have Richie along for the adventure this year. Hazel was an old pro. She navigated the muddy field quite well. Henley liked the little trees best.

The tractor ride was a little brisk, but we all think that is part of the FUN. Don't let Henley's furrowed brow fool you, he had many enthusiastic "words" to say on the bumpy ride.

Richie points Hazel in the direction of the trees.

The WINNER!

Our family and our tree.

My DUCK fan and me. Such a serious boy, until his mommy TICKLES HIM!

Richie scared away all the crows.

I would like to see Beau try and change THAT tire.

The farm has a good supply of farm animals. All of them were rather friendly. Henley was smitten with this goat. Or was the goat smitten with Henley?

Long legs daddy leads little legs Henley around the field. I LOVE the contrast between my two favorite guys.

Speaking of LOVE, look at how much the goat enjoyed Richie! He washed his hands after touching the animals, but come to think of it, I don't recall him washing his NOSE!

A rest break. Getting a great tree wears you out!

A FAST hot chocolate GUZZLE left Hazel feeling ILL. We told her to come up for air, but the sweet drink was too tasty. Hopefully she will drink a little slower next year, and her tummy won't be so uncomfortable. Pace yourself little one!

Later, these two elves did a great job helping to decorate our darling tree.

This picture doesn't do it justice!!

There is the ornament
THIEF! He thought he was so cute we wouldn't notice him stealing a few for himself!
