Hazel learned the meaning of cousins this week...well, sorta. She knows that cousins are fun to be around, but after a week full of visits with various cousins, she started thinking that anyone who visited Bruce and Roberta's house was her cousin. At one point, Beau's friend Isaac came over with his girlfriend, and Hazel immediately thought they were her cousins too. I guess it wouldn't be so terrible to think that everyone you encounter will be fun like a cousin!

We spent New Year's Eve at Beau's cousin Jeff's house - Hazel thoroughly LOVED spending time with Jeff and Barb's five kids (ranging in age from 14 - 5).
All the girls worked hard coloring for a spell.
Next they played "Duck, Duck, GOOSE!" Hazel didn't QUITE understand the concept, but she had fun none-the-less.
Caitlyn spent some time reading to Hazel, Hazel LOVES being read to...especially by a COUSIN!
On New Year's Day - more cousins came over to play! Emma and Jaelyn were rowdy and Hazel loved watching them play.
Hazel shared her new tunnel (from Santa) with the girls. It was hit, until everyone got a bit too rowdy! :)

We leave tomorrow for home. A LONG nine hour drive awaits - and unfortunately there will be NO cousins to entertain along the drive. Big bummer!

Hazel would fit in well in Hawaii where they do refer to everyone as a cousin. :)
