Happy FIRST Birthday Henley!

The little man had a Harvest Party on Saturday to celebrate his FIRST birthday. What a fun afternoon with friends and family! Henley was so delighted to oversee the festivities!

I rented the Lowell Grange for the afternoon. The rustic quality fit our Harvest Party perfectly, and the space was great for active children to play and explore. We will definitely be having more parties here!

Nana came through again with some FABULOUS cupcakes.

WHO WHO wants to eat one?

Big sis Hazel and her buddy Macey enjoying some of the yummy mustard daddy made special for the party!

Two bumps on an old Grange stage. We all waited for their performance, but this was all we got!

Our first activity was making MONSTER apple faces with lots and lots and lots of CANDY. Cracks me up how H & H have the same open mouth expression.

Henley enjoyed being the master of ceremonies while all his friends, adult and child alike, made their monster apples.

Oooh, good one Macey.

Richie worked tirelessly on his monster. Soooo scary!

Hazel's monster is just about as scary as her!

Henley's teacher at school, Kim, made a rather cute monster apple. Henley sure loves his Kim.

Naia's monster apple has pigtails just like her!

Henley thinks my sad looking sample needs a partially eaten cracker to finish it off.

Happy Birthday dear Henley.

What is this?

Daddy gives him a taste.

Henley gives Daddy a taste. (He then tried to feed daddy the whole cupcake. Such a giver!)

The cupcake ended up getting SMEARED sufficiently all over the tray. Not sure he ingested any. But he sure had FUN.

Then it was time to bob for apples. Richie demonstrated for the little kids. He was quite a bobber!

Macey was next. She was a little shy with all the on-lookers.

Lauren was a champion apple bobber! Such five year old determination.

The apple bobbing cheerleaders. (Hazel was too shy to attempt to bob for her apple surrounded by the rowdy party crowd.)

My stomach still hurts from LAUGHING as itty bitty Naia bobbed for her pesky apple. Oh my it was FUNNY!

I thought she was going to climb all the way in at one point. HA!

Papa helped Henley with his own style of bobbing. He loved just pushing the bobbing apple down in the water.

Lauren and Richie had an apple bobbing race...

Lauren WON!

The party crew. What fun!

Hope you had a great 1st Birthday Party my little man.

Back at home...the party continued. Here are H & H with our favorite neighbors L & L (Lauren & London).

Henley cracked us up as he peeked under the hat at his buddy London.

Macey and Hazel decided they wanted to try bobbing for apples again in the comfort of our front yard. Macey proved to be a champ!

Hazel tried...
She gave it her all...but may need another year to practice.

Post party relaxation. My favorite one-year old boy. Love you buddy!

Happy Birthday, big boy! I regret that we were not able to make it. It looks like so much fun!
