Eugene on a Saturday

We headed into Eugene this morning for the Street Fair and live music on the U of O campus. It was a beautiful day and a perfect opportunity for Henley to take his first ride in the backpack. "Pack pack" as his sister calls it.

We joined Femeke, Clemens and Andrin and headed towards campus. Hazel insisted on riding in Andrin's car, surprising to her parents it was easy to push and a very sensible transportation option. Great gas mileage too!

Henley does the "cool" look quite well as he rides on his daddy's back.

Peeking out from his cap...or trying too at least!

That cap cracked me up. He had overalls to complete the engineer look.

Sorry, don't know the name of the band, but I do know that Hazel and Richie LOVED dancing to their music!

Is she really our daughter? Shy isn't in her vocabulary!!

The event was powered solely on bicycle power. It was pretty amazing. There was also a booth that sported a bicycle powered blender, where they blended yummy smoothies. Richie loved that one!

Hazel made a friend. It was so entertaining watching she and Richie dance with such enthusiasm. Richie really could make a great clogger.

Henley and his daddy have look-alike squints I do believe.

Hi baby. What ya storing in those cheeks?

I asked my little dancer to give me a quick smile. This is what I got...

Then she broke into a real one.

Headed back to our car. Whew!

Clemens, Femeke and Andrin were kind enough to put up with our group. Hope we are invited along on more adventures...

Henley had a great time, and couldn't hold his head up any longer. Poor little man.
This was the parting shot, looking up at the little guy. I think the pack pack was a big success!

Of course we will invite you along again! Thanks for such a wonderful morning! Once everyone left the house, Andrin crashed and slept for 90 minutes!!!
