Takin' my zoo to the ZOO!

We ventured to the Portland Zoo today!

It has been almost 3 years since our last trip...

TOO LONG.

 

Our cousins missed us,

those darling monkeys of course.

 Not quite bald, but he has EAGLE eyes.

 

 Mountain goat?

 It's a bird...

it's a plane...

It's a HENLEY!

 Papa & Nana joined us for the day.

 I feel ya goat!

Nap time?

 The cape was Henley's fashion choice.

A choice that came in quite handy.

Keeping track of the little boy in the bright blue cape was quite easy. 

 The petting area was a hit.

 A break from the stroller...

he is OFF!

 No tapirs at our Zoo,

but we decided this creature was close enough!

 Super boy checks out the friendliest Orangutan.

 Enjoying a snack, we think a carrot.

 When I grow up,

I want to paint zoo exhibits.

(The non-smelly ones.)

 What a treat...

new baby LILY!

 Then time for my baby to stretch his legs.

(And eat a picnic lunch.)

 LOVE the giraffes. 

It was snack time there too.

 He shed the cape so he would mimic the giraffe.

 Anyone see a Henley?

 The sea lions were amazing.

We could have stayed in there a LONG time.

Headed to the Exit. 

Three kids in a two kid stroller means...

a successful ZOO day adventure.
