It has been a busy last few weeks, therefore a lapse in blogging, and also photo taking on my part! Here is a brief look at a few things that have transpired in the past 14 days.
Beau had a business trip to Chicago. It was freezing in the Windy City, but he came through and brought me back my ONE requested item.
Garrett's Popcorn. Delicious. Meanwhile, we were back at home and Nana came to help and visit. Above you can see Hazel thoroughly enjoying some Nana time. It sure was nice to have help. Beau came home to a homemade Chicken Pot Pie - thanks to Nana! (Oh, and a few dozen homemade chocolate chip cookies.)
As you can see, Henley enjoyed some great Nana snuggle time. Our little guy is one great
snuggler, no one can resist him when he looks up with THOSE eyes, and stretches his arms up.
Then, the following weekend Beau and I enjoyed the treat of a night away! The kids went to Nana & Papa's. Here they are saying goodbye to us. No tears, just smiles and waves. So much easier to escape away when you leave behind happy children. Henley hadn't spent a night away from me, I realized on our drive to the lodge. It was about time!
Beau and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at the
Skamania Lodge in Stevenson, Washington. This was the view from our 4
th floor room. The Columbia River Gorge had never been more beautiful.
One last peek as we headed back to pick up the kids. Maybe next time we will stay a little longer! It was so relaxing and refreshing to have some time just the two of us. Missed the little munchkins, and as always, such a delight to see them again. Thanks to Nana and Papa for the retreat away!
